Assignments
Hand-in is done via Learn/Assignments. The deadlines are given in the lecture plan and in DTU Learn in due time.
General aspects
During the course, two brief reports in PDF format must be prepared and
handed in by students either individually (no common text apart from possibly software) or by groups of 2 (a common report) based on data aquired in groups (analyzed with whoever).
The subjects are relaxation time quantification and spectroscopy(one report for each). The reports and the oral exam are each weighted half in the course grade. Reports should briefly
describe the type of measurement, the measurement protocol, the
acquired data, the analysis, central formulas (always), the results and the (potential) sources
of error.
The report must be 3 pages main text (11pt, single line spacing, incl. appropriate formatting such as headings) + graphs + tables + equations + source code. The level of detail must be appropriate for somebody who knows the general subject, e.g. in the style of a conference abstract. An example of an abstract is in the ExerciseData folder on DTU Learn.
The report should convey enough information
to interpret the results for somebody familiar with the applied
technique (such persons must still be reminded of interpretation
pitfalls).
No data identifying the scanned person may appear in the report.
Reports must be handed in when specified. Corrections and advice
is provided based on a 10 minute review only. Corrected reports can be resubmitted until a deadline approximately 1-2 weeks before the exam, if it is clear that appropriate efforts were made to
fulfil the requirements already in the earlier version.
Additional advice for your reports (cheklists) can be found in DTU Learn content ReportAdvice that is also useful when interpreting the feedback. Other hints for the specific assigments are also provided together with the assignment itself.
