Homepage for course 22506 Medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The MRI course described on these pages is given in the spring term 2019 (as course 31547) and likely again in spring 2020 (course 22506). The web pages are updated as the course progresses.
The course is central in the DTU MRI curriculum offered by Center for MR and provides the prerequisites for the course Avanced MRI, for example. The courses are integrated in a unique international Biomedical Engineering program but is also open to other students.
Important: In order to follow the course, an understanding of basic MRI must be acquired in advance as specified in the course catalogue (example material). To test if you are ready for this course, you should read the anonymous prerequisite quiz, and answer when you are certain.
Lectures are given in bldg. 349 room 205 Thursdays starting at 1 o'clock.
Computer exercises involving Matlab programming are held immediately afterwards (around 3 o'clock) in nearby databar 341/IT003.
The book used in the MR-course is "Principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging" by Dwight Nishimura (available from the DTU bookstore and publisher lulu.com. Any published edition will do. A link to DTU bookstore offering the book at student price DKK 396 is on DTU Inside's course page). Except for this, the needed course material is made available electronically to course participants via DTU Inside.
